Therailfix is a small UK-based workshop making handmade scenery and lineside detail for OO, N and TT gauge model railways – bridges, retaining walls, depots, huts, tanks, barrels and the hundreds of small details that turn a layout into a place.
Every piece starts life as a 3D model, then is printed and resin-cast in-house before being cleaned up and packed by hand. Because each item is made to order rather than pulled from a warehouse shelf, we're able to offer a much wider range of scenery than a typical model railway shop – including scales and subjects that larger manufacturers don't cover.
Unpainted, by design
Our models are supplied unpainted. That's a deliberate choice, not a shortcut: it means every builder can weather, letter and finish a piece to match their own layout, their own era, and their own taste, rather than being stuck with someone else's paint job. Most of our product pages include finishing notes to help you get started.
Made to order
Because pieces are printed and cast as orders come in, dispatch times can be a little longer than buying something off a shelf – but it means we can keep offering detailed, niche scenery that wouldn't be viable to mass-produce. If you're working to a deadline for a show or an exhibition, get in touch before ordering and we'll do our best to help.
